 Meet Our Doctors                

DeRoy White, DVM 

Dr. DeRoy White was raised in the small rural Texas town of Aledo. He attended Weatherford Junior College on an agriculture scholarship. Later he transferred to Texas A & M University where he received his B. S. in Animal Science in 1975 and then went on to graduate from Texas A & M Veterinary School in 1979. 

He practiced in the Broken Arrow and Mounds areas for about four years before joining Sapulpa Veterinary Hospital in 1983. He joined as a partner at that time and has now become sole owner of the practice. 

His special interests in the veterinary field are lameness problems, reproduction and equine research. 

Dr. White and his wife, Lisa, have two children and they reside in the Liberty Mounds area.

Gene Frie, DVM

Dr. Frie was born in Caldwell Missouri and served in the U.S. Airforce before entering Veterinary School.  Dr. Frie  graduated from Oklahoma State University  college of Veterinary Medicine in May 1968.  

Dr. Frie practiced in a mixed animal practice in Vinita, OK from 1968 thru 1975.  He joined Sapulpa Veterinary Hospital in 1975 and works primarily with the race horse and working horse.  Dr. Frie has been involved in all types of surgeries since 1981. 

Dr. Frie and his wife, Darlene, reside in the Jenks area.

 

Dr. Erica Wallace, DVM

Dr. Erica Wallace joined Sapulpa Veterinary Hospital in July 2007. Dr. Wallace attended school at Louisiana State University. She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in May of 2006. Erica grew up surrounded by many animals in Forrest City, Arkansas.

She became interested in equine medicine and surgery in college and veterinary school while working in the Equine Health Studies Program lab. She participated in several research projects involving horses, with her main focus being laminitis research. Dr. Wallace completed a 1-year equine medicine and surgery internship at Chaparral Animal Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona following graduation. Dr. Wallace’s main interests are surgery and lameness. Erica enjoys gardening, hiking, and riding her motorcycle. She currently resides in Glenpool with her dog, Dante, and her cat, Harry.
